d.o.b.D.O.B. The New Album from Busy Signal is a Rebirth of sorts from the long time Alliance Great. An illicit performer and skill full lyricist, Busy Signal Ah One A Di Best, Dun Know.

The Album  features some of the best new sounds to come outta di dancehall scene in years, including a crazy remix of Elvis Crespo’s Suavamente titled Busy Latino (click for preview) and the best thing about that it’s not stereotypical Reggaeton (no offense to Reggaeton Fans).

The Album Also features some soulful covers from Busy including One More Night and a cover of Nightshift, called Sweet Love, the album closes with a raw much anticipate track featuring the Warlord Bounty Killer in Summn’ A Guh Gwaan, the introspective acoustic track  Peace Reign and an acapella cut of Nuh Bwoy Can Buy We Out.

This Album is definitely a Must get. It a Guh Sell Of‘!

New 4 Download: How You Bad So by Busy Signal

A dat me a wonder too. How some gyal so bad? And another thing, how Busy so bad? Literally every track from the Signal is a hit. A dancehall monsta since him did bruck out pan Green Sleeves and the VP Records Dancehall Draft Picks with Mavado. One of the illest dancehall lyricist and my favourite after Agent Sasco. Busy drops a dime piece of haze about every dime piece we see in the clubs streets and even in the office.

Stay tuned for the upcoming release D.O.B. from the VP label, it features several never before heard tracks, and track list unmatched which includes Summ’n A Go Happ’n feat. Bounty Killer and the acoustic track, Let Peace Reign a sincere call to all Jamaicans to drop the weapons and stop the madness.

Eye on Trends: Busy Signal Launches New Clothing line

When THE STAR spoke with the deejay recently, he explained that the line was started more than two months ago and features T-shirts for men and women.

As well as being a multi-talented artiste, Busy is also known for his fashion sense, going from T-shirts and jeans on a day-to-day basis to decking out in full suits, courtesy of Carlton Brown, for shows and special occasions. He plans to bring his unique flair to his fashion line.

He said, “People always sey, Jah know, Busy you always look good, yuh mus start your own ting, so mi listen to people and waan gwaan try summen interms of fashion.”

Beyond t-shirts

His desire was further developed after designer Castelle Barnes from Brandz Apparel stepped in. Barnes was introduced to Busy by a friend. The designer approached the deejay to work on a line and now the two are working hand in hand, exchanging ideas and hoping to soon expand the Turf Gear name beyond t-shirts…Read More

HOTT ALLIANCE INVASION – BUSY SIGNAL – HOTTEDD LEADER – JOHNNY KILLAH

Coming straight outta of the Mentally Ill Movement™s camp from Brooklyn, New York is Johnny Killa. Johnny – embodying the quiet, charismatic thug from Brooklyn and Killa-embodying “Get Right or Be Left ” swagger. Johnny Killa is a selector that came up under the wing and guidance of Tony Matterhorn. Unlike his mentor Killa is not much for long arguments, but his simplistic flow has consistently frustrated critics who value lyrical slick mic talk over selecting complexity. Although Matterhorn had gone solo, Killa was recruited and one hand washed the other. No longer holding it down as a solo selector – with long awaited return of Mentally Ill’s founder – Tony Matterhorn to the United States, the dancehall masses in the U.S. markets long awaited his return. The critics have also compared Matterhorns return to that of a reggae icon or dancehall royalty. Naturally, Matterhorn and Killa have thrown it down at venues throughout the 50 states, the Great Walls of China to the streets of Buckingham Palace. Johnny Killa emobodies a new flavor to the genre of upcoming selectors that are under the radar. Killa is mainly a juggling selector, but dont sleep on him, he has specials on dubs and we are not speaking of the ones on his truck! Inventive styles and refreshing spins score the most points for Johnny Killa!
